Animation Demo Reel

I've been doing an animation course at a school called Meliès here in Brazil. It's a one-year course, and it's has been six months since it started, so we had to do a demo reel presentation, to show what we did on those past six months.

My focus was a lot in drawing rather than animating, my goal for the rest of the course is to focus on animation.

Hope you enjoy!

Animation Collab

I got into another amazing illustration collab, this time it's a animation one! I was so lucky to be assigned with Coraline, one of my favorite movies.

Tried to capture many important tokens from the movie into the design, and since it's a stop-motion, I wanted to go traditional in my representation, so I did it in watercolours.

My character was Lord Varys, but you can check the whole project on behance or tumblr:

Oil studies

I've been attending an oil painting class for the last couple of months. I never worked with this media before, but it's quite amazing! Those are my first portrait studies with color.

They're based on Richard Schimid work.

Klockwork Project

Me and my friends have a personal project called Klockwork. It's a steampunk 2D side-scrolling game.

We managed to make a demo, with the first level, although it's still not quite what we wanted as a final product, we have a lot to work on.

Here are some art that I made for the game.

SPJAM 2013

This is some art I made for SPJAM 2013.

For those who don't know, SPJAM is a gamejam that happens in my city, São Paulo, once a year. We have 48 hours to make a game based on a theme that is given at the beginning of the event.

The theme was Plot Twist, also there were some extra words to add, Head an Yellow, so we did a little yellow fish swimming in braincells, being chased by a purple manta.

Toothless's sculpture WIP

I just LOVE Toothless from How to Train your Dragon!

So... I decided to make one for myself!

Those are some photos from the process, I don't have any of the finished piece, although it's in the mold making fase right now.
